Majors Boost First Class Airfares

The Atlanta Journal Constitution reports Delta and other major airlines are willing to gamble that you will pay an extra $100 per roundtrip ticket in first class and business class. Fuel costs are climbing and debts are mounting. "This (increase) is likely to stick," says analyst Kevin Mitchell of the Business Travel Coalition. American, United, Continental, Northwest and US Airways matched Delta's initial move quickly, and just as the peak summer travel season begins.
