Shopping for Airports

Did you know that you can save a lot of money on airfares by getting out your car keys and doing some driving? For reasons no one understands, nearby airports sometimes offer very similar routes at very different prices. It's always worth checking airports within 100 or so miles of your preferred airport to see what they're offering. The problems I foresee and which will offset the supposed cost savings of driving to a near-by airport are the cost of gasoline (RT) and parking fees for the car. This can really add up.

I saved $138.00 by checking on (and flying from)a local airport that had ALWAYS been too expensive to use. There was a special deal and I lucked out. ALWAYS check out the locals! You may be pleaseantly surprised!!
