Did You Catch the "Hoscars?"

It's not a typo: The Web site Hostelworld.com sponsors an annual "Hoscar" competition patterned after the Oscars that honor motion pictures. The idea, naturally, is to honor hostels in a number of categories. For example, in the category "cleanest hostel," the Hoscar goes to Jetpak City Hostel in Berlin, which also won "best staff" and "best overall in 2006." Nine of the top 10 in that category are in Europe, but "best hostel with more than 500 beds" went to HI Chicago.
