Survey: Americans expect to pay $3.50/gal. for gasoline this summer

According to a survey commissioned by the Civil Society Institute, 72% of Americans expect to pay at least $3.50 USD for a gallon of gasoline this summer. Another 28% surveyed predicted $4/gallon. CSI is a think tank that specializes in energy-related issues and advocates increased fuel-efficiency standards. Judge their results as you will. But if these numbers come close to reflecting public opinion, most of you are not too optimistic about prices. As costs rise, look for breaks from the gas pump and ways to reduce fuel consumption.
