I live in London (and, yes, it is expensive!) but there are so many things to do in the city that cost nothing or very little. Apart from special exhibitions, all the major museums and galleries are free, as of course are the many parks, and there’s often free entertainment - along the Southbank, in the Royal Festival Hall, Trafalgar Sq, Covent Garden, etc etc.
Good points, Lois. That’s what I want people to see. You might have to spend $60 for a cab ride, but there are many things that are unique experiences (in any city, not just London) to be had which cost nothing.
WALKING tours of LONDON ARE A MUST: only 5 euros
