Twice a year, cruise lines reposition many of their ships. What does that mean? Why should you care? Repositioning takes a cruise ship from one part of the world (let's say Norway) to another (Jamaica maybe?) for a seasonal itinerary change. The costs are high for the cruise lines, so they accept paying customers to defray costs. If you're interested, shop now for trips late this fall, or book one of these "repo" cruises for spring 2009. Why book so early? These trips fill up fast, often simply through word-of-mouth.
Find out if a trip like this would meet your budget expectations.
