Budget Tips for Baseball Playoff Cities

Sunday October 4, 2009

My hometown Detroit Tigers have managed to squander a seven-game lead since Labor Day, finishing in a first-place tie in the American League Central with the surging Minnesota Twins. So Detroit must win a one-game playoff in Minneapolis. The Detroit-Minnesota winner will face American League East champion New York. The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim take on wild-card Boston in the other divisional series.

Everything is settled in the National League, where St. Louis will face the Los Angeles Dodgers and Philadelphia will take on Colorado.

Finding baseball playoffs tickets at a decent price is tricky, but try a search at TicketsNow for available seats. Click on the name of each playoff city above to find a list of money-saving tips for that destination. Enjoy baseball's second season!

Congratulations to the Twins. At least the Tigers didn’t go down without a fight! Great, gut-wrenching game.
