Deals for the Week of Oct. 25

Sunday October 25, 2009

Here's the latest list of 10 travel deals. Many of these links lead to offers with a very limited shelf life, so if you're interested, act quickly. But don't act so quickly that you miss the fine print. For deals that aren't quite so fleeting, check out Fall deals. This week's deals include discounts on room rates in New York during holiday shopping season; specials from Rail Europe; and airfare sales to Asia and Australia.

One of the best travel tips we ever received was to rent a timeshare in downtown New York City. We would never have been able to afford to take the entire family to NYC because the decent hotels are cost-prohibitive for any budget-conscious family. We rented our timeshare through http://www.redweek.com – you won’t believe how much you can save. Plus we were just 3 blocks from Central Park.

Wow! Those are great deals, thanks. In the same vein, I’m promoting the Jet and Drive Giveaway, a sweepstakes from JetBlue. Everyday there’s a new prize, ranging from a $100 Hertz Rental Certificate to a $500 JetBlue Gift Card. The best thing about this sweepstakes is that the more people enter, the bigger the prize. We all know travel can be a big expense, so every little bit helps.
