Sleeping in Airports

Did you know some budget travelers actually plan to stay overnight in airports? Trying to sleep in such a place can be a challenge, and it's certainly not something anyone can recommend with confidence for all situations. It is fraught with potential security problems and in some places it could be against the rules. But all of these negatives don't stop some people from actually giving it a try in order to save money on lodging costs. If you're willing to take the risks (think carefully about this one), here are some strategies for finding a place to sleep in the airport.

Good tips and yes I know people who book one night less at a hotel just to save a few dollars by sleeping at the airport!

I once had about 7 hours before I could check in at Boston Logan for an Int’l flight. There was nothing I could do about it. Oh, also I had contracted a great case of food poisoning just before leaving.

So not only did I feel like I was dying, but i had nowhere to go at the airport.

Boston Logan is not transient friendly for sure. all the benches have arm bars on them, and the floor is marble tile.

Still, I curled up between a bench and tee on the floor and tried to make the best of it.
