Black Friday and Cyber Monday

My inbox has been jammed the past week or so with travel deals for "Black Friday" (Nov. 23) and "Cyber Monday" (Nov. 26). These are very short-term deals. Many expire within the next few days.

I thought I'd pass along a few of them. Again, for emphasis, these deals will expire quickly. If you see something you like, book it.

Overseas Adventure Travel is offering international airfare savings of $500-$800 per person* on 12 itineraries for Americans aged 50 and older. The offer applies to departures from 23 U.S. cities and must be booked by Monday, Nov. 26 at 8:00 PM EST. *Registration required.

Expedia offers Black Friday deals of up to 50 percent off and a $25 gift card. Note that the offer expires on Friday, Nov. 23 at midnight.

Travelocity will post a Black Friday and Cyber Monday sale of up to 50 percent off that runs through Monday, Nov. 26 at 11:59 p.m. CST. You'll need to use promotional code "Turkey10" and book dates through March 31.

Smart Destinations is offering 15 percent off on select GO Cards. This offer is good from 9 p.m. EST on Thanksgiving Day through 11:59 p.m. PST on Sunday, Nov. 25.

Entertainment.com offers its coupon books at 30 percent off plus free shipping. This deal expires on Sunday night.

Books-A-Million is planning a Three Day Sale that runs Thursday-Saturday. The linked page will reveal a coupon code to use for savings on orders made during that time. Maps.com will give a discount of 18 percent for purchases of at least $75 on Friday, Nov. 23 to Monday, Nov. 26th. Use promotional code "BLACK18" at online checkout.

I'm sure you'll find other travel-related deals in the next few days. Research your potential buys, but don't wait too long on the offers, because some could disappear even before the expiration date. Happy shopping!
