American Airlines Vacations waives reissue fees on land and bulk air packages prior to departure. Changes can be made on day of departure.

Insight Tours will refund cancellation fees with travel certificates of values equal to the penalty. Another pre-departure option: transfer of all monies to a new reservation within 2003.

Trafalgar has a "travel protection plan" that's very similar to Insight's policy.

Uniworld offers free trip cancellation insurance for most of its European river cruises in April and May.

Oceania Cruises provides the option of a $149 USD upgrade to its standard cancellation insurance policy. The upgrade allows total refunds for cancellations up to 24 hours prior to departure. The insurance applies to cruises departing July 5-October 31.
