This is a quick way to get to every cruise line's deal page. Look for wording along the lines of "last minute" or "hot deals," because more than likely they're trying to fill empty cabins on a deadline. You're looking for cruises that depart within the next two weeks.

Many people can't travel on such short notice, so this won't work for a lot of our readers.

But those who have flexible schedules often reap the best travel bargains, and cruises are no exception.

Those empty cabins we've already mentioned are usually marketed in this "last minute" way. Discounts of 50% or more are not uncommon.

There are sometimes special restrictions on these deals. Refunds and travel awards are sometimes denied. Your choice of cabin might also be limited. Consider these problems part of the price.

Cruise lines such as Carnival often specialize in low-cost cruises, but so do many other lines. If you book a low-cost trip, you should be prepared for what you will find: crowds, less upscale amenities but also very solid values.
