Can you fly on short notice? If so, consult a consolidator. These ticket wholesalers specialize in last-minute deals. They often buy up entire lots of unsold travel products at rock-bottom prices and pass some of that savings on to the traveler. Be warned: Many consumer complaints are generated each year from dealings with consolidators. There are good ones, and there are those that don't exactly stress customer satisfaction. Choose wisely.
