Online Tools for Tracking a Low Airfare - Internet Airfares Web site

By Mark Kahler, About.com

This is one of the more established portals for checking airfares. As with FareWatch, the prices here are not simply links to the agency's offers.

Internet Airfares is tied to Worldspan, a data base for travel agents.

This tool provides information for 36 major cities in the United States and Canada. Simply click on the city and see the lowest fares from that airport to other cities. Excursion, advance and refundable fare categories are included.

There is also a daily big airfare cuts section that will show you which routes in your chosen city are on sale. For example, clicking on San Francisco recently revealed a fare on Spirit Airlines (seven-day advance, seven-day stay) to Orlando for $198 USD, down from the earlier price of $308 (savings: 35.7%).
