Resolution #2: I will avoid cruises that cost more than $100 USD/Day.
If you consider travel costs on a per diem (daily) basis, how many of us can cover the costs of three or more quality meals, exciting destinations, transportation, accommodation, and even glitzy nightly entertainment with a $100 USD bill?
Cruise travelers make that deal every day.
The major lines overbuilt their fleets a few years ago, and now they find themselves with lots of cabins to fill. Not every trip you want to take will be $100/day or less, but there are many rewarding itineraries that will fit that budget.
If a cruise is in your 2005 travel plans, do your homework and search out Web sites offering these deals. Hint: Off-season and repositioning cruises offer the best values.
Click "next" or "3" to the right to learn how the opposite travel extreme--overbooking--could also save you money.
