This room is in a 2.5 star property in the San Antonio Northwest bidding zone. The room cost at the time of my bid was $198.80; The winning bid was $90, to which another $18.68 in taxes and fees were added. The savings for this stay was $90.12 per night, resulting in a three-night savings of $270.36. This was an instance in which persistence paid handsomely. The NBA's San Antonio Spurs were a favorite to make the finals during the time of my trip. Because of this, it's possible hotels had fewer rooms for sale through Priceline in the month prior to arrival. It took repeated bids outside the Riverwalk zone to secure this room. (The Spurs did make the finals, so it was good to have a reserved room). This newly refurbished hotel is about 10 miles from downtown but is well connected via I-10. A free buffet breakfast is provided each day.
