The first place (at any time of year) to look for cruise deals is the last-minute special offers pages on the individual lines' Web sites. A good example is the page at Carnival.com shows upcoming deals.

A similar page at Norwegian Cruise Line posts special offers. Take a look at pages like this to find dates in the winter that are "on sale." For example, one recent search revealed a seven-night round trip cruise from Charleston, S.C. to Florida and The Bahamas from $499/person.

Travelocity.com has a page devoted to Celebrity cruise deals that is updated frequently and includes great seasonal buys.

Cruises.com advertises a Year End Cruise Clearance featuring major lines and a variety of discounts.

As with airfares, bargain cruises are offered to fill empty space and disappear quickly. If you find a price that looks good for dates that work with your schedule, be ready to book it.
