Yapta.com, the price tracker Web site that promises to be "your amazing personal travel assistant," is tracking airfares and hotel room rates for budget travelers. Yapta works before purchase or even after purchase, and enables travelers to ask for "rollover" refunds -- the difference between your price and the marked-down figure. How does Yapta work for you? Share your thoughts on this service or other ways you can price travel products to ensure low prices. Share Your Experiences

Much Depends on the Route

Some routes are more likely to be discounted than others. The ones that aren't on sale much aren't worth tracking. Unfortunately, those are the ones I fly most for work.

Yapta usually works for me

I like to use it before I book rather than after. I don't want to have to go back and ask for the difference in money. I think it's better to wait until there's a good deal and then just buy it. If time gets too tight, I make my decision knowing I've been tracking it for a while and this is the price I'm stuck with paying. Don't know how the hotel part of it will work...I'll have to try it.
